Research Overview

Dr. Vishal Sorathiya is an accomplished researcher and academician in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, with a specialization in Photonics, Antennas, Metamaterials, Sensors, and Optical Communication. Recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (2024) by Stanford University, he has authored over numerous peer-reviewed publications which is currently indexed in SCOPUS.SCI/SCIE-indexed journal papers, and holds multiple patents in advanced electromagnetic structures.

His Ph.D. work pioneered graphene-based metasurface polarizers for the far-infrared frequency spectrum, contributing significantly to the domains of tunable absorbers, plasmonic biosensors, and infrared photonics. Dr. Sorathiya's antenna innovations include high-gain MIMO systems, UWB and THz designs, and origami-inspired reconfigurable antennas for 5G and satellite communication.

In addition to his academic leadership at Parul University’s SCOPE Cell, he serves as a reviewer and editor for high-impact journals including Scientific Reports, Plasmonics, and PLOS ONE, and has received significant national and international research grants, including from SERB and AICTE.
